Colours TV’s International Expansion
Launch in North America
On January 21, 2010, Colors_TV became available on Dish Network in the United States, Canada, and Mexico under the name “Aapka Colors” (Your Colors). To cater to English-speaking audiences, the channel provided English subtitles for all its shows. Amitabh Bachchan served as the brand ambassador for the UK and USA launches.
Launch in UK and Ireland
Colors-TV launched on Sky in the United Kingdom and Ireland on January 25, 2010. On December 9, 2009, INX Media confirmed that Colors had acquired 9XM’s Sky EPG slot on channel 829.
